This policy explains how Jacob Berman, doing business as Berman Systems ("Berman Systems", "I", "me"), handles information collected through bermansystems.com (the "Site") and related communications.

When you email me, fill out a form, or schedule a call, I collect what you send: typically your name, email address, company, phone number, and message.

Like most websites, the Site and its hosting provider may record technical data when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and time of visit. If analytics are used, they are privacy-focused and do not track you across other sites.

How I use it

Client project data

Data I access while building or maintaining software for a client belongs to that client. It is handled under the client's written agreement, used only to do the work, and not used for any other purpose.

Retention

I keep information as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, tax, and accounting requirements, then delete it.

Security

I use reasonable safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices and rights

You can ask me to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to stop contacting you. Depending on where you live, including California and other U.S. states, you may have additional rights. I will not discriminate against you for using them. To make a request, email jacob@bermansystems.com. I may need to verify your identity.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect their information.

I may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
